Durban North is a wonderful suburb of Durban, extending from the Umgeni River in the South to  La Lucia in the North, on the East Coast of KwaZulu-Natal Province. Durban North is on the shores of the the Indian Ocean which is a close distance from many areas. Although it lies in the North, this area is central to all most that Durban has to offer. Northwards one will find the tourist destination of Umhlanga, which boasts fine beaches and attractions along with the cream of corporate world. Southwards lies the world famous Durban Golden mile with beaches, miles of waterfront promenade with related activities. A bustling harbour and the busiest port in the country is only 1o kms from Durban North. Westwards one will find many industrial areas and a hive of business activities. 

Besides being sold as the fun in the sun city, Durban is also known as the Sports Capital of the Country.
