The names of many of the roads have been changed in Durban by the City Manager and his Municipality. This however has not been accepted by the local community. The result is that you may see blacked out signs (the new names), no old alternative sign (the municipality being their usual petty selves having removed them), no signs or the new names that nobody can pronounce or understand.
The new name for our Road, Northway, is Kenneth Kaunda. We mention this as the name may have been changed on the GPS or map. We will still tell you it is Northway. It is also the M12 - which is one of the main Durban Roads Joining the CBD to Durban North
We have tried to include landmark buildings and structures to direct you. On behalf of the Durban Ethekwini Municipality and the ANC, who do not appear to have realised how they have harmed the tourism and hospitalty industry in our City, we apologise to you for any inconvenience that may be incurred.
