General

The names of many of the roads have been changed in Durban by the City Manager and his Municipality. This however has not been accepted by the local community. The result is that you may see blacked out signs (the new names) and no old alternative sign (the municipality being their usual petty selves having removed them). We have tried to include landmark buildings and structures to direct you. On behalf of the Durban Ethekwini Municipality and the ANC, who do not appear to have realised how they have harmed the tourism and hospitalty industry in our City, we apologise to you for any inconvenience that may be incurred.

From the South Side (assume N3 from Pietermaritzburg)

Follow signs to into Durban city. You should either come down West street or Commercial. (They are the two one way streets going into Durban towards the sea) Turn left into Aliwal.(White Liberty Life Building or ICC Exhibition centre) Follow signs to Durban North, entering NMR Ave (N12) via Aliwal (Look for Kingsmead Cricket Stadium on your right - then a few blocks further down on the left, the Durban Bus Station). Travelling North (sea to the right railways tracks to the left). Go past the new big soccer stadium and Kingspark Stadium, go past the Durban Country Club which will be on your right. Over the Umgeni River Bridge the NMR Ave becomes Northway. Look for KFC and garage on the left. Go through the first traffic Light (make sure its green) and we are on the next corner left hand side - Look for number 47 on the left.  Yellow wall on a slight bend to the left - Go slowly entrance is tight.

From the North side (Assume M4 from Ballito, Umhlanga)

Follow directions to Durban. Come off at Broadway/Durban North turn off. Carry on straight up Broadway, (Crusaders Sports ground on left), through a traffic circle, past the Kensington shops (one traffic light - there should be a whole lot of take aways banks and restaurants on either side of the road and a petrol station on the right hand side), through another traffic circle, up to traffic lights and T Junction at the top of Broadway. Turn Left into Northway. Look for number 47 on right hand side approx 2.5 Kms down towards Durban central.

From the New Durban International Airport at La Merci

Come onto the N2 travelling South to Durban City.
Go past Sabiya (Casino) offramp
Past Umhlanga offramp
Come off at the next offramp which should say Kwa Mashu.
Turn LEFT into North Coast Road - If you turn right you go to Kwa Mashu.
After the forth traffic light - the road (North Coast) goes up a hill and on the other side there is the next  Traffic light by some shops Turn LEFT into Blackburn.
Carry on in Blackburn up the hill and around to the right - through a traffic light at the top next to the Dragon Chinese restaurant.
Carry on straight - Blackburn Rd becomes Northway on the other side of the traffic light.
Carry on down Northway (Approx 2 Kms) till you see 47 on the right hand side.
Guest Entrance is in Northway just after the bends.
